To whom was Mary Married?

I have been reading a rather difficult but very interesting book titled “The Worship of the Dead.”  It traces the development of the pagan gods back to the family of Noah, primarily Ham’s son, Cush, and his son, Nimrod.

Now Cush is also known as Bel, but so is his son Nimrod.  In this book, and others, they are known as Bel the lesser, (Cush) and Bel the greater (Nimrod.)  When these men died they were made into Gods and assigned to a heavenly object.  The sun was the habitation of Bel the greater.

Now Cush (Bel the less) was the king of Babel.  He married Semiramus.  She, of course was queen.  Their son was Nimrod (Bel the greater.)   When Cush died Nimrod seems to have married his mother.  Nimrod (Bel the greater, and also named Tammuz) died or was killed early.  Thereafter he was deified.  It is necessary to recognize that these men became known by many names, such as Jupiter, Adonis, Hermes, Bacchus and many others.

Now Semiramus died eventually.  She, too, was deified.  She became the queen of heaven. You see her, as the goddess queen of heaven in statues that show her holding her young son, (Nimrod, Bel, and (another name) Harpocrates.  She, too, has many names; Diana, Ishtar, Isis, Athena, and Mary?

Mary?  Why Mary?  Look at the similarities.

Semiramus was married to the father and son, Cush and Nimrod.

“God” says St. Epiphanus, “prepared for His Only Begotten Son, the heavenly bride, a Virgin, whom the Father loved, whom the Son inhabited, whom the Holy Ghost searched thoroughly” (The Immaculate Conception of The Mother of God by The Right Rev. Bishop Ullathorne,D.D. 1855. p. 8).

So, clearly a Roman saint, Epiphanus states that Mary is the bride of Christ.

14. ... Unite, then, Venerable Brethren, your prayers with Ours, and at your exhortation let all Christian peoples add their prayers also, invoking the powerful and ever-acceptable intercession of the Blessed Virgin. You know well the intimate and wonderful relations existing between her and the Holy Ghost, so that she is justly called His Spouse. The intercession of the Blessed Virgin was of great avail both in the mystery of the Incarnation and in the coming of the Holy Ghost upon the Apostles. ...

Source:  DIVINUM ILLUD MUNUS, ENCYCLICAL OF POPE LEO XIII ON THE HOLY SPIRIT, MAY 9, 1897.

Here Mary is espoused to the Holy Spirit.

The image of Mary as Bride of God originates in patristic times. Saint Germanus of Constantinople called Mary Theonymphos, a Greek term meaning "God-wed" or "Wedded to God".

Saint Augustine of Hippo writes "Mary was the only one who merited to be called the Mother as Spouse of God"

Now the two Saints above claim that Mary is espoused to God, wedded to God.

So, here we have Roman teaching that Mary is wedded to Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, AND she is the mother of God.  Further she has been deified.  She has to have been deified, she is the mother of God is that not what is claimed?

Further it is claimed that Mary has been united with her Son in heaven and has joint rule with Christ. (The Saints; Saint Mary the Virgin, Rene-Marie de La Broise,)

Now if she is UNITED with Christ that means they are one.  If they are one that has to mean that she is a goddess.  So here we have it, Goddess Mary, Queen of Heaven.  This is the Mary you see all over holding her infant son Jesus.

Does this not parallel Semeriamus?   It should, it is meant to be the same.

de la Broise, a catholic writer says she and Jesus are united, that means ONE. How can they be ONE if she is not deified?

Further, everything I read says she is Queen of Heaven. Now if a Queen that makes her one with God, doe it not? That deifies her

Tell me, are you married? If you are married and the marriage has been consummated you and your wife are ONE is that not right?

Your church fathers variously state that Mary is married to Jesus or God and Pope Leo XIII says she is married to the Holy Spirit.

I guess there is some confusion between church tradition here and the magesterium of the church, right?

In any event if she is married to one of them she is married to God and is thereby deified.

You do pray to her do you not? Is she not your "mediatrix?" Co-redemtrix? That reminds me of something. Did you know that Semiramus/Astarte/Ashtoreth/Diana/Isis/Minerva/Athena/Cali "ff" all were believed to be mediatrixs also.

Boy, on this media that seems kind of trixy, no?

Pope St Damasus

Do you remember what scripture says of the dialogue by and between Jesus Christ and Pontius Pilate at Christ’s kangaroo trial?  Pilate asked Christ is He was King.  Jesus  responded.

>>>” 33 Pilate therefore entered again into the Praetorium, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews? 34 Jesus answered, Sayest thou this of thyself, or did others tell it thee concerning me? 35 Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done? 36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. John 18:33-36 <<<

“If my kingdom were of this world then would my servants fight!”

Well, below is another proof of the paganism of Roman Catholicism.  Pagan means, simply, “man made.”

The “star” of this story is “St” Damasus, good friend and "patron" of “St” Jerome, and the pope that convened the Council of Rome that austensibly established the canon of scripture.  Well that is what the Romanist’s claim.  Read below.  Compare Christ’s statement with “St” Damasus’ actions

Damasus (revered as a Saint) ascended the papal chair amidst portentous agitations, showing how, even thus early, spiritual power had deflected from its sphere of serene grandeur through association with mundane honours and interests. The election was contested by a deacon , named Ursicinus (or

Ursinus), who obtained his illegitimate consecration , a few days after that of Damasus , at the hands of a bishop of Tivoli, and for a time was supported by a faction using armed force; the two parties repeatedly encountering for battle in the streets: and one conflict in a basilica (probably S. Maria

Maggiore — vis. Animianus Marcellinus) left 137 dead bodies within the consecrated edifice , the doors of which had been burnt, and the roof stript of its tiles during this sacrilegious struggle.

That Pagan historian (Animianus Marcellinus) describes the Pope marching at the head of troops recruited among his clergy, charioteers, and hired gladiators; and adds that, during the

entire contest, 160 dead bodies were strewn over the streets, though not one of Damasus's party was slain. The Prefect, (a civil office like mayor)  unable, with all the force at his command, to suppress

this tumult, was obliged to save his life by escaping to some village on the Campagna.

From “Ancient Christianity and Sacred Art of Italy” by Hemans (1866)

Here is recorded that 297 people slaughtered by Pope St. Damasus to hold onto his papal chair.  Did you notice that Damasus’ army suffered NO casualties?  Now could it have been that his “enemy” was unarmed?

Demon Worship
Does Roman Catholicism teach demon worship?    Consider that this great body of “Christians” do regularly and continually worship demons.  With the following information think this through.

Demons:

The Greek word for Demon is daimones (daimon.)  Here is what Liddell & Scott Lexicon provides for one definition of the word:

“II. Daimones are souls of men of the golden age, acting as tutelary deities, Lat. lares, lemures, genii. They formed the connecting link between gods and men.  Hence when daimones and theoi (gods) are mentioned together, the daimones are gods of lower rank.  Theos is never used for daimon, though daimon is used for Theos.  In later authors, daimon is used for ANY departed souls (Lat manes, lemurs)”

Notice that the Lexion states that a daimon is a departed soul of men of the golden age.  Then, later, the word daimon came to mean the souls of ANY departed soul   These daimons were “gods.”  Notice the word TUTELARY.   This means “guardian.”  They were the link between God and man.

The “manes” of the Hindu religion and the buddhas of Buddhism can be traced to Adam/Noah.  Osirus, Horus of Egypt and Baal, Ninus can be traced to Cush/Nimrod.  The whole host of the pagan gods in all 6 continents (this excludes Antarctica) can be traced to these men.  They were the men of the golden age.  When these men died they were elevated to “hero” status – their daimons (spirits/souls) were believed to be still active and present.  They were considered philanthropic.   The ancients prayed to them, worshiped them.   They were their guardians.

Demonic worship is the worship of the dead.

As time went on, more and more people were elevated to hero status and became guardian daimons of this and that.  Augustine records that ancient Rome had thousands of them.  One was even known as Vaticanus, the daimon (guardian god)  of the crying baby.   Augustine called these gods – demigods.  The “demi” portion of demigod comes from the word daimon or demon.

God spoke through the apostle Paul, this message:

“Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils 1 Tim 4:1

Now that word “devils” in the King James is the word daimonion (δαιμονιων) in Greek.  It is the word we are talking about.  Paul is not referring to sharp horned, long tailed, pitch fork carrying devils here, he is referring to the demons (daimons) that we have been talking about.  They are the souls/spirits of the dead.

Notice he is talking about “doctrines.”  That means teaching.  He is talking about teachings that fallen men will try to introduce into the church.  Consider the previous chapter:

“but if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how men ought to behave themselves in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth” 1 Tim 3:15

Paul is warning Timothy to watch out for the teachings that promote demonism. The church is to be the pillar and support of truth and one must always be on guard to eliminate or block all false doctrine.

What is the teaching of demonism?   Well, as we have seen a demon is the departed spirit/soul of a dead person.  This person is consider a Hero by the people and they look to the demon that now this person to be their “guardian,” to intercede for them with their “god.”

Does this not sound familiar?  These “hero, guardian, intercessory, demons” are what are called saints today by the Catholic church.  Oh, and you can include the worship of Mary in this.   This is apostasy!  It is “END TIMES APOSTASY!”  Expressly, the Latter Times as denoted in 1 Timothy 4:1.

Does it not amaze you that God told us through the Apostle Paul, 2000 years ago that this was going to happen?

Call No Man Father Upon The Earth

Recently a Roman Catholic apologist, Tim Staples, put out a CD-Rom on which he twisted Matthew 23:9 into a permissive mandate from Christ to label catholic clergy as "Father."   Connectied to this page is a paper I did to disprove what Staples wrote.  It is truly amazing what some will do to dishonor our Lord.

what sad site this is.Can we not stick to evangelizing the un-christian?maybe one day Christ's paryer that "they all may be one" will come true.until then i guess we will have to result in attacks on genuine brothers and sisters b/c they dont share the exact same theology that we do.i f i dont agee word for word with penecostals should we evangelize them too.how much heresy is too much?

if you want to deny Catholism & everything it stands for, then you will to deny the bible which was bound and preserved by the rcc.
