The following is from the email discussions I have been having with a Roman Catholic nun. My response is to the Roman position she explains and conforms to. Sister V,
Roman Heresy (cont) (Transubstantiation) You statement that there is “nothing impossible with God” is just not true. Now I am not trying to be offensive but there are things that are impossible with God. Here are some things that are impossible with God: 1. He cannot lie, 2. He cannot change his mind, 3. He cannot refuse to do what He said He will do. 4. All the things He says will be made good! Numbers 23:19: Hath he said, and will he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and will he not make it good?
Transubstantiation is one of the things that God cannot do. Why? Transubstantiation is the claimed conversion of an ordinary wafer into the entire body of our Lord - hide, hair, blood, guts and gore, the entire body of flesh. The purpose of this conversion is to able to sacrifice Him again and again. That literally means to keep on killing him! He is a continual sacrifice, so says the Roman Church. This is subject is false because God cannot do this. If He were to do it, He would be a liar and as Scripture says, He cannot lie. If He were to lie, then He would not be God. How so? |
